David Kadish is an artist, engineer, and PhD fellow working in the Robotics, Evolution, and Art Lab at the IT University of Copenhagen. He holds a B.A.Sc in System Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo (Canada), an M.A.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia (Canada), and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of British Columbia (Canada). David’s work is focused on the complex interactions between humans, digital technologies and biological ecosystems. His PhD thesis, currently in progress, explores the soundscape of a forest garden ecosystem from this perspective. It probes the ways in which the soundscape is an ecologically important resource in this garden and how an autonomous digital agent might engage sonically with the ecosystem.
