Panel: Art & Industry Collaborations within Sound Art Practices
Panel: Art & Industry Collaborations within Sound Art Practices

Struer Tracks is developed within a framework of collaborations between Struer Municipality, Bang & Olufsen and local cultural institutions. While exploring the benefits of collaborations between art and industry the initiative also maps and revisits a territory well known in the history of media art: a landscape of mixed value systems weaving commercial, ethical, artistic and innovative values.

The panel takes as a starting point four project presentations within sound art practices and initiates a discussion on different models for art and industry collaborations. Christian Skjødt and Ursula Nistrup are both involved in projects developed in close collaboration with Bang & Olufsen and presented at Struer Tracks #2. Christer Lundahl, part of Lundahl & Seitl has been involved in several art and industry projects, and Rune Søchting is presently involved in a collaboration with Oticon.
