Dami Kim

Dami Kim (b.1993, South Korea) is an artist using the bodies, dance, and new media. She creates performance art, where the artist as a performer interacts with viewers. New media – smartphones and social-media – emerges with conceptual density in its process. Her first study focused on technological and technical attribution to art during her undergraduate in Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. After, she moved to Paris, in order to better understand new media by learning artistic and metaphysical approaches. She recently completed a MFA in Transdisciplinary New Media in Paris College of Art. Her written thesis includes Maya Deren’s video-dance in the post-WWII environment and the relation between the human body and camera in Deren's film.
