Michelle Lewis-King PhD, is an artist, acupuncturist and Associate Professor at Roy Ascott Studios, DeTao Masters Academy, Shanghai Institute of Visual Art. Her work researches interconnections between art, humanities, medicine, technology and globalised society from a different vantage by using Chinese pulse diagnosis and clinical practice to create soundscapes, public performances, exhibitions and research publications. She collaborates with 4DSOUND Institute for Spatial Sound (Budapest, HU) on spatially dynamic soundscapes that reflect the infrasonic processes of the human body according to Chinese medical philosophy.
